Rozi’s wisdom of the day
Not regular, not guaranteed, but always honest. Ask for a new one if this one isn’t the one.
Rozi is napping. The wisdom is on its way, somewhere.
A cat is not a substitute for a therapist. But it is cheaper. And cute. Rozi’s energy is limited, though, so don’t ask for a new one every minute. Absorb one properly, and come back another day!
Two cats, Totó and Rozi, live in a shop window in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. They don’t do any work. They lie there, now and then glance at passers-by, and that’s it.
Their devoted “mum” has spent almost a year on the rough side of the job market. She could write a book about how not to get invited to interviews, despite being wildly creative and speaking at conferences. (She is writing a book, actually. About something else.)
So, with no steady income for about a year, the family council decided the cats should join the game called making a living, with everyone putting their best assets to work. The human brings her marketable but underused skill set. The cats bring professional loafing and a talent for dispensing opinions.
That is where all this came from: this website, the quiz, the tuna sponsorship. It is not a save-us campaign, more of an “open your wallet when something made you smile” kind of deal. If that’s not enough for you, you can also offer the human a job or a collaboration, by the way.
Rozi moved in with me in November 2024. Before that she lived in a cellar where a dachshund was her only friend. That may explain why she sometimes looks at people as if she is “just barely” willing to speak to them, but deep down she is kind, she just doesn’t advertise it.
Her job title is Window Boss, her speciality is professional loafing, and her motivation is tuna, peace and quiet, and nobody knocking on the glass. Her favourite activities are the siesta and watching people, which is practically the same activity, except that in one of them her eyes are open.
Her motto: “Good things take time. And sunlight.” If that attitude sounds familiar from a yoga teacher or from that friend who is always cheerfully late, it’s no coincidence. According to Rozi, it’s not laziness, it’s philosophy.

Rozi checks in every now and then. No promises about regularity: she alone is responsible for the content, she edits it herself, and so the schedule stays gloriously unpredictable.
